April is National Safe Digging Month
April is recognized by Congress and most Governors across the U.S. as National Safe Digging Month (NSDM).
Because it's the time of year when temperatures increase in many parts of the country and spring digging projects begin, April is an important time to remember how important it is to contact 811 at least a few days before putting a shovel in the ground.

All offices conduct business through the drive-thru. Our lobbies are closed. We operate normal business hours, Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm. We encourage you to utilize our website and pay by phone service. There is no charge to pay by phone or online. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact our offices during normal business hours.

Marshall County Gas District
Marshall County Gas District is a natural gas utility with a transmission and distribution system. The transmission system consists of 85 miles of pipeline, which runs from a connection point near Tarrant City in Jefferson County to a point near Scottsboro in Jackson County.
The distribution system provides natural gas to consumers in substantially all areas of Marshall County except the City of Boaz. We serve portions of Blount, Cullman, DeKalb, Etowah, Jackson, Jefferson, and Madison Counties.
Our mission is to provide you with a safe, reliable, and reasonably cost natural gas service. Our ongoing safety and damage prevention programs are designed to help you recognize, react to, and prevent unsafe conditions.
